Klaine AU | Kurt and Blaine are roommates in the dorms. Blaine is a quiet guy, he doesn’t sing like Kurt, but always makes some new music on his computer. He always gets inspiration in the middle of the night, and stays up. And Kurt thinks it’s just adorable. (And he’s kind of in love with Blaine. Not to mention, that Blaine feels the same - he’s just shy.)

[if someone writes something for it, you can find it here]

Kurt walked into the dorm after a grueling morning class that lasted longer than expected. He sighed and dropped his satchel. He noticed his roommate’s, Blaine, computer blaring and his headphones laying on his desk. Right next to his desk was Blaine’s bed, and a sleeping Blaine cuddled up under his blanket and pillow. Kurt smiled at the adorableness. From the looks of it, Blaine had been up all night and maybe got to bed a few hours ago, before Kurt got up for his classes.

Kurt and Blaine had been roommates for the first semester and now they were into their second. They got along great. They had the same taste in music (almost the same) they could talk about anything and they were actually good friends. There was just one problem.

Kurt was actually in love with Blaine. Had been since before the holidays. Blaine was relatively quiet but he was one of the sweetest guys Kurt had ever met. He was talented. He loved creating music on his computer and even let Kurt listen to a few samples. Kurt liked to sing and Blaine would always drop everything to listen to him rehearse for a part or a song he was going to perform. On a few occasions, he heard Kurt’s voice in some of Blaine’s music on the computer – it was flattering.

Blaine stirred in his bed as Kurt made his way slowly toward him. He sat on the edge of Blaine’s bed as he heard some sound coming from his headphones.

“Oh, Blaine,” Kurt said in a sing song voice. “Hey, wake-up!” Sometimes Blaine was an unusually deep sleeper and sometimes Kurt had to shake him to get a reaction out of him. This time, Blaine jumped slightly and rolled halfway over to see his roommate, his very stunning roommate.

“Wh-what?” he mumbled, rubbing the sleep from his eye. His hair was all disheveled and curly; Kurt loved that look on him. Kurt smiled warmly.

“Did you stay up all night?” Kurt asked sweetly. Blaine barely had his eyes open as he started coming through his hair.

“Uhm…did I?” Blaine mumbled. Kurt laughed lightly as Blaine was still trying to register as to whether or not he was in a dream world or if Kurt was really right there, smiling at him.

“Why don’t I go to the cafe and I’ll bring you some coffee,” Kurt suggested. That man was the best roommate ever.

“You are the best,” Blaine said, tired but grateful and snuggled back under his pillow. Kurt smiled sadly as he got up from the bed and walked over to the door. “Kurt?” he called.

“Yes?” Kurt was right at the door but hadn’t opened it.

Blaine wasn’t sure if it was because he was tired but he was feeling bold for once. Being around Kurt always made him nervous and he always wound up acting like the shy, quiet boy he used to be in high school. Blaine had a really bad habit of having inspiration for his music at the oddest times and always wound up staying up all night and sleeping most of the time the next day, sometimes missing his classes. He was surprised he was still passing everything. Kurt was so understanding and so sweet about it.

He adored that man and they spent a lot of time together. He let out another breath as he grew comfortable in his bed again, but remembered why he had called Kurt to begin with.

“Is it morning or noon?” he asked.

“It’s almost ten in the morning,” Kurt answered. Blaine rolled over onto his back and actually opened his eyes to see Kurt fully, albeit still a little blurry. How in the world did that man always look so good every day?

“Wanna get some food? Or did you already eat?” Blaine asked.

“No, I haven’t. I’d love too,” Kurt almost said shyly. Blaine smiled at the answer.

“Will you still bring me coffee? I’ll buy you food,” Blaine said almost pitifully. Damn this man for being so cute. Kurt smiled at Blaine and nodded.

“Yes, I will still bring you coffee. But you have to be up and ready when I get back,” Kurt pointed. Blaine held up his hand with his thumb sticking up in the air.

“I promise,” he said. Kurt laughed as he opened the door and walked out of the room.

“I’ll be back in a few,” Kurt called and closed the door behind him. Blaine smiled as he sighed. It took him this long to even ask him to go eat with him. Sure, they have eaten before but it was usually when they bumped into each other between classes or one of them called and asked if the other wanted anything. It was a start.

Kurt couldn’t contain the smile on his face the entire time he walked over to the cafe to bring Blaine his coffee, and he knew exactly what it was without having to text or ask. He knew from the first day they were roommates.

Kurt and Blaine are roommates in the dorms.

Kurt opened the door to his dorm room and immediately stopped in his tracks when he looked inside and saw the breathing bundle of quilts on top of his roommate’s bed. Blaine had been fast asleep when Kurt had got up for an early class a few hours ago and seemed to be still dead to the world.

He was probably up working on his new music all night, Kurt thought with a smile. Blaine was a relatively shy person – where Kurt would sing to himself as he worked on projects and essays, his roommate was a lot more reserved and quiet, preferring to plug in his headphones and edit music. He had once told Kurt that inspiration often struck him in the middle of the night, causing him to pull frequent all-nighters. Not that Kurt minded, of course – Blaine was the most considerate roommate a person could wish for and made sure he never disturbed Kurt.

Closing the door softly behind him, Kurt stood and watched the sleeping boy for a minute before blushing, realizing how creepy he was probably being. Kurt had been attracted to Blaine ever since they’d first met at the start of the year. The crush had only intensified over the months through getting to know how amazing and sweet Blaine was. Kurt didn’t want to ruin what they had and knew living together would become extremely awkward if he expressed his feelings to Blaine only to be rejected. Instead he said nothing however he found it increasingly hard to keep his feelings to himself, especially when Blaine sat close to him, sharing headphones and asking Kurt’s opinions on his latest music.

Kurt heard Blaine snuffle in his sleep and smiled. “Oh, Blaine,” he smiled, walking to the foot of his bed. Knowing the other boy had to be at his first class of the day soon, he decided he should wake him up. “Hey, wake up!” He said in a voice loud enough to rouse the boy and climbed onto the bed.

Blaine lifted his head from the pillows and groaned. Kurt tried not to focus on the noise too much, for his own sanity.

“Wh-what?” Blaine mumbled as he rubbed at his face with his arm.

“Did you stay up all night?” Kurt asked, already knowing the answer since his laptop was still on, headphones resting on top of it.

“Umm… did I?”

Kurt smiled, knowing how confused Blaine got when he first woke up. He found it adorable, if he was going to be honest with him myself, which is why he offered to go get Blaine a cup of coffee.

“You are the best,” Blaine responded gratefully, collapsing back into bed in exhaustion, his compliment making Kurt smile and blush.

Returning five minutes later with the coffee, Kurt had to shake Blaine back awake. The other boy grinned and eagerly accepted the cup, drinking half of it before opening his bleary eyes fully and grinning.

“I’m really glad they roomed us together, Kurt,” he confessed quietly with a smile.

Kurt bit his lip and smiled back. “Me too.”
